In-Person Color Run:
October 16, 2021
The Live Free or Dye Color Run will take place this fall IN-PERSON! We are so excited to finally see everybody completing this race together. This year, we are offering two different course options.
​
1 Mile: This race will start at 9 a.m. and is a new addition to our event. The course for the 1 mile race is a route that starts near the official 5k start, weaves through Moultonborough Academy's campus, and ends with participants running a short distance on Blake Road. This course is very kid and family friendly and will include the same amount of color stations as our 5k race, just with less distance involved!

5k: The 5k race will begin at 10 a.m. and follows the certified 5k loop through Moultonborough. Participants start the race on Blake Road and complete a loop that finishes in front of MCS.
​
Both races have 5 color stations throughout their routes. Participants will be asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to their race start time in order to leave time for registration check-in. At the end of the race there will be a raffle of various items donated by local businesses. Each registration includes one raffle ticket, however more can be purchased at the check-in table.

GIVING BACK:
Moultonborough students believe it is important to give back to the community whenever possible. This year, we have two ways that participants can help us accomplish this goal!
​
- Moultonborough Food Pantry: Bring in 3 non-perishable food items to receive a free color packet. Only one free color packet is available per person, but extra donations of non-perishables are encouraged!
​
- "Got Sneakers?" Recycling Program: Bring in old sneakers or cleats to receive 5 extra raffle tickets. The donated shoes will be mailed back to "Got Sneakers?" and this company will recycle the athletic shoes to create new products.

PAST EVENTS
Spring Virtual Color Run:
June 3-6, 2021
The Live Free or Dye Color Run will continue its tradition this year despite the current circumstances, by going VIRTUAL! Participants will run, walk, hike, or skip any 3.1 mile route of their choice between June 3-6, 2021 and will be asked to download the free Strava app on their smart device to record their activity. Participants will be invited into a closed group for Color Run participants only, where they will post their activity.
To keep the color run aspect of the race alive, color powder will be available for pickup at Moultonborough Academy earlier in the week. More information about the pick-up of materials will be sent out closer to the race date. The fees to participate will be $10 for just the color powder, or $15 for a white color run t-shirt and color powder.

** You must register and submit your race fee by May 20, 2021 to order a t-shirt.**
The color powder can be used however the participant pleases during their 3.1 mile activity. Dump it over you before, during, or after, or have someone throw it at you, just be careful, the color powder could stain your shoes or clothes! When completing your route, please take some pictures and email them to us so we can see all the fun you had!

We are hoping to hold an in-person full event in the fall later this year. If you participate in our virtual event, you will receive a FREE COLOR RUN shirt for our fall event!
